You should also look at Kesler flopping and holding his throat on the high stick from Marleau in the first period? Even had a trainer come out to look at him (which means he should have come off the ice for the next puck drop), then lines up for some PP time. It is what it is and Marleau deserved to sit for two.

The stick came at him from the BACK (apparently), and then Couture's head jerks BACK (in the direction of the hit). How does that happen? If someone pushes your body from the front, in which direction do you fall?
There's no doubt that this was a high stick. It was worthy of a penalty. But players around the league are embellishing SO bad that it's ruining the game. It's tough, and embarrassing at times, to be a Canucks fan because our players have developed the reputation of being divers to the point where they do not get the benefit of the doubt from officials. But I know that we are not the only ones. Couture is a great player. He doesn't need to resort to this.

It's the playoffs. There's tougher plays than in the regular season. You want to take penalties out of the game or embellishment? Make your choice.
