Acquired in a blockbuster trade from the Buffalo Sabres in October 1991, involving stars like Pierre Turgeon and Pat LaFontaine, Hogue quickly became a fan favorite for his speed, two-way play, and clutch performances.
He scored 105 goals and racked up 229 points in 258 games, showcasing his offensive prowess. His best season came in 1993-94, where he tied for the team lead with five shorthanded goals, earning praise as a responsible two-way forward under coach Al Arbour.
