  1. Ok listen. I was purely team tank when Danny came in. But… that ship has sailed and I really don’t want another decade of mushy middle mediocrity so gotta hope Danny’s plan works. That being said. Success to me is the 8th seed we just sneak into playoffs. with the hope they at least get mediocre goaltending. Obviously bad goaltending can ruin a season. But I put some of errson struggles on system/confidence from it. then just him being bad. I’d hope We see continued improvement from Mich, forester, and a York bounce back. Paired with the addition of Dvorak for face offs and Zegras for PP and getting the new coach bump with TOC. Anything below a last out just miss the playoffs season. Would be a bad sign for me and most likely free agents/RFA’s next offseason.

  2. To me, the Flyers should be a bubble playoff team. Looking at the Metro division, I think the Flyers should be fighting it out with Rangers, Islanders and Blue Jackets for that 4th position in the Metro. This is one measure of a successful season. The other measure is continued player development, and the infusion of good young talent into the every day lineup. I don't want to see Nick Deslauriers playing on this team this year, unless there are a buch of injuries. I want to see Luchanko playing top 6 minutes down the middle, and I want to see other players like Grans and Bump getting consistent minutes at the NHL level. Maybe even see a surprise young player blow people away this year. If this happens, I would consider this a successful season.

  3. Great show today. The Flyers need to solidify all positions on the team – 2 goalies, 7 defenseman and 14 forwards aka moving forward from the last two seasons. Better netminding and defensive play could make them closer to a playoff spot this season. To all fans, the McKenna lottery pick is out there, and tanking the season does not necessary guarantee the top pick as we saw last season. Some people also believe McKenna is destination is Pittsburgh. So, either make the playoffs or be in a position to win the draft lottery or get a top 3 draft pick.

  4. Great Episode! And always hoping your health keeps improving. Success for the Flyers (IMO) is that we find out who takes steps forward in development. I don't need a playoff or bust but being in the mix would be great. I believe if we can establish clear roles (scoring/power play/ penalty kill/ defense/ goalie ) the team takes that next step. Getting the new coach's philosophies are vital and getting players with the skill set to carry it out is also vital. I'm excited to see improvement in the players to get to the next level. I think the talent is there (more is needed) to start to ascend forward. No more backwards. Take care and I listen everyday!
