Have Fun!! Thanks for your commitment to the greatest sport ever, and I enjoy your Wings info.
What's so HUGE about this. Total nothingburger video.
Of course Ducks would match so no point in making enemies ! Habs paid too much for Doby & let Logan go who might be better than Doby in the long run and much much cheaper ….Now they will likely give David up for McT ….Why did Habs not pick top forwards instead of Ds who they don't keep ?….The list is long of great Ds being tossed aside by the Habs starting with Doug Harvey etc. etc….
And montreal is getting him for dach and a 7th rounder oh brother
Wouldn’t offer sheet as Anaheim will match. Must work à trade.
Toronto finding a way to trade for him would be nuts
Huge eh?
Unfortunately your information about Luke Hughes in incorrect. He is not a true RFA and he is not able to receive an offer sheet (some kind of a special loop hole where he doesn’t qualify for one).
With the amount of young stars needing contracts next year, they are going to have to do something! If Mctavish and Carlsson both command 8-9 million per season, there goes 3/4 or more of that cap space with others to sign! This could get interesting for sure!
Canucks should threaten to sign him to a MASSIVE contract, and make Anaheim trade him to them
caufield – suzuki – slaf
laine – mctavish – demidov
bolduc – evans – dach
anderson – veleno – gally
Taiwan belongs to China
Id give 2 future firsts and a second and a third
No I can assure you they're asking for bolduc a right Def.,Anderson and a first round pick in 2026, and a second round pick in 2026 ..would you do it?
McTavish's upside is NOT 65 points- It's 90 points, 30 goals all while playing a wonderful 2 way game. He has the Conn Smyth trophy written all over him. He will be a great player when all is said and done!!!!
McTavish doesn’t want to go to Montreal, his stated preference is NY and manhattan. So you Hab fans better get used to it
Worth the outrageous price. Would complete the canucks core. We get mcTavish I guarantee our next few 1sts will be late picks. I say go all in.
Just get the contract done Pat. He stays a Duck.
Problem is, Anaheim is patiently waiting for an offer sheet to match it
It's going to be a trade
I don't know if the concept of negative zero exists, but it would describe the possibility of Yzerman offer-sheeting McTavish succinctly. Yzerman is too much of an old-school style GM to offer sheet in the first place, and even if he was open to it he's got too much history with Verbeek. If anything Yzerman would just trade for McTavish with the offer sheet compensation and possibly a face-saving sweetener.
Problem with offersheeting him is that the ducks will match anything short of a massive overpay. A trade could happen if it gets super ugly (see cutter Gautier) but short of that he’s gonna be a duck.
