I heard about ekholm's injury it freaking sucks. I agree with Austin hope he's at close to 100% as possible, Derek ryan isn't wrong about the management
I don't remember how he played before his injury, but nobody complained about his play last year. The people who want him gone are delusional
Ekholm forcing his way back in when the D had fantastic chemistry and were 10-1 record (or whatever it was) cost them the playoffs. He was awful and got scored on all the time and the chemistry in other lines fell apart
He’s great when healthy though but I wish guys would stop forcing the come back for no reason and do way more harm than good
Lets see how this team goes, and hopefully the nee Goalie coach works on Stu's down side like his lateral movement and him not just falling down when he doesn't need to and making sure he is hugging his poles and not being far outside the crease
#1: Ekholm: Oilers should have played others, if Mattius injured himself MORE it's worse.
#2: Ryan: I understand disappointment but the team wins and the team loses and you have to go with who you think is the best group game by game (except they messed up with #1 so…)
#3:McDavid: The number of times I've heard people yelling SHOOT when he passes outnumbers is goals and assists so yeah, SHOOT THE PUCK

Ryan had no buisness playing in the NHL imo. I love the guy and I hope he has a happy retirement but he didn't need to play

I saw something about his injury on Twitter and I just have one question. Just one.
WHY THE FUCK WAS HE PLAYING!? The D was doing just fine through the first three rounds, why did Edmonton put him in? Not only was he playing injured, but his insertion threw everything off!
Once again, the brilliant minds of oilers medical staff show they got their credentials through forged means.
