I have faith in Julien/Walton as bottom 6/4th liners.
What jets need to realize this training camp is Lambert and Barlow 2 1st rounders who have relatively high value off potential. But if Barlow looks like he does is projected be a bottom 6/4th liner in future not a certified top 9. And Lambert if doesn't switch to wing/start figuring it out trade them in a package while the are 20yrs/21 instead letting them get old like Heinola and wasting their time.
I definitely feel you could get a NHL ready player for a package like
Barlow+Lambert+pick maybe throw a Heinola/Stanley since we will lose 1 on waivers.
You could try and aquire a Chinakov,Benson,Mercer,KentJohnson,Hayton,Danielson types.
Or older guys who can help now
Perfect fit no trade protection is OwenTippett he's 26 has 6yrs left next year trade protection kicks in at 6.2m til 32yrs old. Flyers are retooling.
Or ik rangers signed him debatably bad contract at 7.4m Lafreneire is 23yrs old and maybe he could be better in different environment.
I'd give a Barlow+Lambert+1st+heinola for a huge name.
Barzal ik makes 9.1m but is like 27.
Or similar to Yager/Mcgroarty trade get a guy 1-2yrs younger for a Lambert/Barlow ect who still has potential but pushes need to be on team down road.
Guys like Lindstrom,Parascak,TarinSmith,Elick,JaydenPerron,DenverBarkley,Ostlund,Lettermaki,Nadeau.
Examples of what I mean is
Lambert for Lindstrom(19 younger,committed NCAA from Medicine hat can wait longer to develop)
Or
Barlow for Parascak(19 1 yr younger) or any guys mentioned JaydenPerron(from wpg playing UND pushes development down road.)+pick
