I agree with ideal of Murat/you/pagnota brought up rn we know forsure how much cap is going up 2yrs not 3 and beyond yet.
Mcdavid,Connor,Kaprizov,Eichel might only want 2 yr deals see if it goes up alot they don't want to sign 14m and it goes up now they should be paid 20m.
If jets can get Connor 2yrs til 31yrs old at 12m they should do it. It keeps window open and easier to move him later. Plus at 31 he could sign another big deal say 13/14m depends on cap rising.

Alot depends on bottom 9 Centers Toews,Lowry(post surgery),Namestnikov and Lambert/Yager. Lowry looked capable of being 2C last year but now he has to come back injury I think Jets will be fine. I'd prefer them being younger.
But the mix of those players if ones playing better move guys around will be successful.
