Martin Fehervary’s Knee Issue: ‘I Should Have Been Training On Ice’

Martin Fehervary missed the end of the 2024-25 season due to a torn meniscus in his right knee, which led him to undergo surgery in April. Despite his positive progress, he now faces ongoing inflammation and pain, limiting his ability to skate. Fehervary, who made the Róbert Švehla Award as best Slovak defenseman for consecutive years, is preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympics and upcoming NHL season. He has been working closely with the Capitals to address his recovery and plan for a potential departure in August.
