The Rangers keep signing players based on their potential. It backfires every time.
If Sullivan gives Laff a top spot on PP1, I think his numbers 5v5 and confidence as well will make this his best season so far. Putting the past behind because yes, the Rangers haven't given him the minutes a #1 over all player normally get but also he needs to show that hunger too. This season has to be better. Thank god no drama going into it, and we're going to get that new 1st year coach bump they seem to get. LGR.
I think Lafreniere breaks out in 2026 when they put him on wing with Connor MacDavid.
Laziness and immaturity are his issues. He has tons of skill but little will IMO.
Three years gone by with no improvement in this player.
Lafreniere is better than slafkovsky and power cmon man
Haven’t they played him on his off wing every season as well? LW1 PP1. He scores 30-40 goals
Laffy will tear it up this season 30 to 40 goals Guaranteed
Gotta disagree on that “earn it” mentality, you have to construct a powerplay. Different players with different skill sets and jobs. Not just the best scorers. You want a big net front screener for example.
Make or break is a bit extreme. he is still relatively young (barely even in prime) and on a long term deal. sure with kreider gone he needs to pick it up. if he breaks 60 points i think that would be a successful season.
Lafréniere needs to be away from Panarin, especially since Panarin hopefully won't be here. He needs to learn to dominate and take over and dominate on his own. He needs to break out..
