Don't like many of those 'trades'. I agree we need a 2C, but few of these would work in reality. And we don't need more older men up front. Keep with the younger, mid 20's players.
I still have faith Hayton can be a quality 2C with a stable set of quality wingers in his line which he will have this year and hasnt had before. Who knows whether or not he will stay with us, considering the players we have in the pipeline, but I think we should keep him. Imagine Cooley as 1C, Desnoyers at 2C, Hayton at 3C, and McBain at 4C. Id love that.
Schmaltz is as consistent as a player can get. He has averaged 21 goals for the last 4 seasons. With the least amount of goals being 20 and the most 23. He has averaged 60 points over the last 4 seasons with 58 being the least and the most being 63. Pencil him in for 21/39/ 60. you know what you're getting. I doubt we will keep him past this upcoming season, but he has been as consistent as they come.
Tuch for Schmaltz Utah would have to add. Tuch is way more valuable. Would love to have him but gonna have to pay. McAvoy for Schmaltz, Marino, 2nd – Utah would have to add significantly this is a stud defenseman for parts deal as is Hayton for Rossi would be a bad move for Utah. Taking a small forward group and making it smaller is unwise. Pavel Zacha is not that much of an upgrade over Hayton that you give up those assets especially with CoBo and Desnoyers on the way. The Tage deal is not serious. Another Rossi deal…Wild says no way. McTavish deal Anaheim would likely need a 1st but it's the framework for a real deal. Zacha for Schmaltz & Carcone Boston says "why?" McTavish for Durzi + Parts what would the Anaheim motivation be? Monahan is a 30 year old part time player. Better to wait on Hayton/Desnoyers/CoBo Marchessault is 34 and signed through 38…no way never. Barbashev will be 30 in December.

Some interesting ideas being tossed out. Julian, thank you for all your hard work.

Crazy. The dunking on Buffalo is just crazy. And Rossi? Noooo thanks. McTavish? Anaheim is NOT trading him. Fans don't really want Schmaltz, eh?
