He needs to deliver a better SV%. Sub .900 isn't going to cut it. For the past 3 seasons (since he became the Oilers' de facto #1 goalie), his SV% has been .913, .905, and .896 during the regular season and .883, .901, and .889 during the postseason. Sure, he outplayed Ottenger, but he also got pulled a lot. This isn't good enough for a team to win the Cup. I hope for everyone's sake that, with the new goalie coach, he delivers a consistent season.
I'm gonna say this year will be Skinner's best so far. He's been through the highs and lows and I think that experience will all come together this year. Let's go Stu!!
