2025/26 Buffalo Sabres Roster Preview: Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
As the Sabres big money starting goaltender, there will be a lot of pressure on Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to stand tall in goal for the 2025/26 Buffalo Sabres. Luukkonen is coming off of the 1st year of his large 5 Year $23.75M contract. To say that that first year was a dissapointment would be a bit of an understatement, as Luukkonen struggled mightly and was a large factor in the Sabres disasterous November and December. And yet, Luukkonen remains a very talented netminder who the Sabres will need to be at his best in order to end the playoff drought that has gripped Buffalo for the last 14 seasons.
