I'd be really happy if the Rangers could trade for Bowen Byram. That would solidify the defense & with Igor in net & a new defensive system, Rangers would be very competitive. It wasn't just the players that led to a dysfunctional TEAM, it was the coaching too. The 1-3-1 that Laviolette played is a passive system which let's the opposition exit their zone far too easily. Sullivan is going to institute an aggressive forechecking system which will lead to turnovers in the O-zone. A zone type system in the D-zone will lead to better net front presence & fewer high danger scoring chances.
