The thing with comparing McDavid's and Kaprizov's next contracts is that Kaprizov has been playing for 9M, while McDavid has been playing for 12.5M. That's why I actually think Connor gets matching AAV with Draisaitl, maybe a million more. But Kaprizov will want to be paid back for the underpaid seasons, I expect him to get around 16M. In 2026/27, 16M comparable to 13.5M in 2024/25 cap-percentage-wise.
Why am I missing these live?!?! Keep in mind, those cap increases are only projections at this point. Cap is calculated 100% by the prior year's revenue.
He’s a great player but, his durability is his down fall. he has missed games every SINGLE season since he’s been in the nhl . Don’t think he should be the highest player
