I would sign him to the 5 years at 5.3. His value should still be high in years 4 and 5 and if you feel he is getting too old or you want to promote a young guy then, he could be traded easily.

I've said it since the last game the Leafs played: If Stolarz was on the bench, he was good enough to PLAY in game seven. NO way you leave your #1 guy in a do or die game. Period.
Trade Stolarz for Hymann. Cowan for Kadri
I think 5M by 5yrs would be fine. Stolartz was excellent last year, leafs may have advanced in the playoffs if he had not been taken out by a very cheap shot to the head (we all saw it, it was dirty) every signing is a risk, you never know whats going to transpire over 82 games, but i think, barring injuries, Stolartz is the guy you want, and he wants to be here and win here. Dont mess around,sign him.
