It just wasn’t last year Cam, check his stats, I totally agree with you. If he racked up his points last year with Providence, the fans would be creaming themselves. He is no Lysell…run the numbers….12 big ones last year…first line, PP, and everyone thinks he is going to magically start scoring in the bigs….let it go with Lysell, it isn’t going to happen, wish it wasn’t so…but the numbers show the REALITY.

They absolutely need toughness when they play Florida bro. Bottom 6, Defense and goaltending are set. They just need 3 Top 6 players now to contend. But they def needed the toughness they've injected the last 2 years.

I like the signing of Blumel but Sweens will put kuraly, essymont, jeannot, beecher and a few other plugs in the lineup before Blumel gets a shot on the 3rd line. He should start on the second line with the middler and ardveddsson. The 3rd line should be poitras, minten and zacha. 4th line of Kasty, jeannot and essymont or kuraly. But Sweens wont do that, the young guys wont play because theyre not Bergeron. Lysell should be first man up and merki hasnt and wont get a fair shot. Its more important to Sweens to have older bottom six, we know what they are forwards then to develop our youth.
Outside of Pasta, this team is garbage. Let's give the kids a chance. I want to see Blumel, Steeves, Harris, and Soderstrom, see what they can do.
What has to go right is this Pasta and Blumel and Ardvidson and Geekie each score over 25 to 30 goals and the Def stays healthy and the Goalie rebounds then they make the playoffs.

Yes! I totally agree. I think Don is a smart cat to listen to David Pastrnak in telling Don to sign Majej Blumel! I think their Czech fellowship would shine through, if they could play together. Or, would certainly provide a solid scoring threat on the second line. His league leading scoring numbers in the AHL should not be ignored, nor overlooked! He is a legitimate diamond in the rough signing. I think Matej Blumel will continue to impress next season..if given the chance to suit up in the black and gold.

The Bruins are going to be just fine. Their plan all along is to make a pitch to Jack Eichel after this season, and they tanked on purpose last year. And the Bruins DID need to add toughness when they lost Frederick, and Jeanott was a perfect fit. Jeanott is tougher than Frederick and is 450k per year cheaper. Plus we only gave Jeanott 5 years while Frederick got an 8 year deal. The Bruins lack center depth, which was their bread and butter for the past 16 years. If they can get Eichel, then move Lindholm down to the second line where he belongs, the top 6 gets exponentially better…and with Hagens waiting in the wings, we could in 2 years be looking at a team with the center depth we need.

hopefully he gets his do. will be great to see. but i would say the biggest need for the bruins more than goals is a Center. Fraser Minten will probably be their best.
Know your history Neely wasn't with the team when they drafted Bergy, Krejci, Marchand, and Lucic signed chara. That was Mike OConnell and Jeff Gorton. These guys suck at evaluating talent.
