Connor McDavid is leaving Edmonton already n it's the Oilers n the Oilers management team fault when the best player in the NHL player does leave.connor McDavid is mad now because all the Oilers management team are just breaking promises to him everytime he turns around.That is not a very good move at all
Pretty sure McDavid isn't sharing his thoughts with Friedman and his guess is as good as ours. My guess is McDavid is deciding how low he wants to go for the next 2 years before getting a big raise on the next longer term contract. I know I wouldn't be running to the table in a rush if I intended to low ball my own worth.
Would Carter Hart really be an improvement on Stu? I think Skinner is going to have a come back year, I expect great things from him.
This is my opinion if the Oilers convince McDavid to sign or if he decides to sign 4 or 5 year deal then by then Nurse contract would be done when McDavid resigns, and they can move him and get the 9.25 million to get goaltender and if wanted keep Stu give him the back up and let the starter to teach him

Carter Hart didn't even do anything. Look into it. It was a straight-up witch hunt, and the woman totally lied about what happened. The judge even chewed her out about her dishonesty in the precedings.
She ruined these guys lives
Matt, if you want the oilers to be true leaders they should support the legal system and refuse to be swayed by public cancel culture.
These guys should all get contracts. The woman involved should be facing charges.
But that aside. Treat people fairly. Innocent after trial is innocent.
Move on.

I totally get the reasons why the Oilers would want to distance themselves from the entire situation. I think all teams are gonna be a little reluctant and a little sceptical about making that move, especially the first move with these guys.
The thing is if they are going to be reinstated does it not make sense that they would probably go home then?
You know, more or less tail between the legs kind of thing and get dusted off and picked up by their friends and family to get back on their feet with a fresh start? I dunno.
I’m not saying he deserves a pass or anything, but if you can’t go home to try to start over and do better, where can you go? 🤷🏻♂️
Carter Hart deserves a real chance with the Oilers. He is way above Skinner's level. Aboute morale, just forget those, especially in Alberta, where 99% of the population would vote in a blink of an eye for a president like down south… (i.e. way more convicted than Hart)
Why wouldn't the OILERS take him?? He is a good goalie & the courts found him NOT Guilty…. There are No Saints out there …..

Edmonton needs to hold on to skinner he’s young and only been in the league going on 4 years….. bobrovsky got good at 33, skinner is gonna be a full on stud in the future, he’s already brought the oilers to a cup final 2 years in a row, just needs a solid partner in the crease.
