  1. Regarding meetup locations, consider also Pitch The Baby Bar in Capitol Hill!

I’m honestly losing some of my passion for the Kraken, just because it’s unclear what the team wants to be. The team moving Dunn or McCann really has to link into a true commitment to rebuild and I’m not sure that commitment exists in the front office. These are moves where the follow up moves are as important as the initial ones so it’s difficult to advocate for or against.

  2. Yea I was really pissed the new GM said no to my Devils but I get it as a business standpoint. Kraken will continue to be mid until they develop their young talent or get some more talent and good draft picks.

  3. The trade offer would have to knock Botterill on his butt, e.g., a combo of high draft picks and org’s best prospects, and I don’t think he’ll get such a deal.

  4. With the limited Intel we have out in the public sphere, I would say ownership is afraid to take the necessary steps to make this team a real winner long-term. IMO, The obvious direction should be to take a step back, unload vets and assets like McCann/Dunn for prospects and picks and build for the future. But I think that ownership is afraid of falling ticket sales and merch revenue. They may rather be Mid and profitable than commit to a real winner, taking a short term financial hit in the process. I hope this is not true, but until shown otherwise, it's what I have to believe.

  5. Trading at the deadline almost always earns a much better return. So playing the first half of the season to see if the team can right the ship is the smart moves. They can always fire sale it if it’s clear they have no hope of the playoffs.
