Vegas Golden Knights Acquire Nolan Patrick and Brett Howden

The Vegas Golden Knights acquired Nolan Patrick and Brett Howden. In a three-team trade with Nashville and Philadelphia, Vegas acquired Nolan Patrick from the Flyers while Cody Glass was shipped to Nashville.

Then, the Golden Knights received forward Brett Howden from the Rangers in exchange for Nick DeSimone and a 2022 fourth-round pick. Nolan Patrick was the second overall pick in the 2017 NHL draft, while Brett Howden was selected 27th overall in the 2016 NHL draft.

  1. Patrick is a slug. He doesn’t defend and can’t skate, doesn’t battle for pucks. He was -30 last season, worst in NHL among forwards. I’m a Flyers fan and gave him a huge chance. His ceiling is a 3rd line center. I hope I’m wrong and he works out for y’all, but I don’t see it
