  1. I wouldn't mind going to some exhibition game and watch Schaefer and some of the other young players

  2. If I were Prokhorov's parents I would encourage him to stay closer to home too. It's good to let him grow up a little.

  3. ltir 40. go with rittich. give lennox a chance. who would have thought isle 40 g scorers since palffy were pj boy, 27, and j. blake?

  4. Gil you and i know this team is going nowhere this season or next. Why not just bring up the kid you drafted Burke Hood. Let him get his lumps this year and be ready next season for more work since Sorokin will be on the other side of 30 next year. Prokhorov, Nelson, Finley, Eiserman, and all the other picks from this year will not be on the NHL ice for years. Even if we all wait for prospects to compete, who is to say they are the real deal? I do not think Matthew is ready for at least 2 more years, Eklund is small, Aitcheson is the most violent player from draft ( wow wee), the players i think have a chance to succeed are Poletin, Romano and still we wait 2 years…doormat of NHL for next 2 years, ,,Landon Dupont in our future. .happy labor day all

  5. Happy Labor Day Gil! All is on Health obviously. We will have to take the wait and see approach as no one knows. Injuries are given during a season. How many and for how long will an injured player be out. Have to really take the wait and see approach.

  6. Boqvist will play his off-side, sharing time with Mayfield depending on matchup. Shaefer will be their partner, and George will be in the AHL unless he can beat out MS. Bear is simply a depth piece, in case they lose a right hander.

  7. Billy Smith didn't play 60 games during the regular season but he was ready mentally for the playoffs. He had Chico and Rollie, Kelly. There were great either great backups or great starters. Love to see something like that again!

  8. Here's the deal, Parmigian Veal: If you're gonna run Sorokin ragged, and play him over 50 games at his age, and with his wear and tear, you might as well trade him and do a complete rebuild. Regardless of how many games Sorokin plays, we're not gonna win the Stanley Cup, and we're more than likely not gonna make the playoffs. We don't have the horses, yet, to make a deep run, let alone make it to the playoffs. We could get a king's ransom, for Sorokin, especially near the trade deadline, and even include that schnurer Engvall in the deal. We should focus on developing our goalie for the future because the Stanley Cup in not in the near future but, rather, in the distant future. I have no confidence in the rest of our goalies, so, rather than ruin Sorokin and have him on the IR for a majority of the season, which is where he'll be if we over play him, we should move him. I am excited to watch Schaefer, Ritchie, and hopefully get a whiff of Eiserman at the end of the season. I don't give much credence to Isiah George as he was exposed at the end of his initial run in the NHL. Bring back King and Picker!
