  1. How would grade a trade of Sam Girard to the Penguins, in teturn of Ryan Graves and a 2nd or 3rd round pick in the nhl draft 2026?

  2. Congrats to Tyson Barrie on a fantastic career. When you retire 88th all time in goals by defensemen, that is an incredible career. For perspective, the Canucks are 55 years old and have never had a defenseman get to 110 goals (Barrie's total).

  3. Oilers are one Finals loss away from knocking on Buffalo's Door….

    The Bills, not the Sabres!*

    * Metaphorically not literally. (There is a difference Kids!).

  4. Bye Bye Mon Carey
    Adieu a Mon Hero!
(Sorry Bergevin was a fool but you should have taken less, to have given us the $$ to sign that Center who would have won you a Cup or two).

Like Marcel Dionne once hinted. 'I may be in the Hall, but my Brother (Gilbert) has, THE RING.'

Which one is more 'Precious' to you and your favorite team?

  5. it'd be better for the habs and price to mutually terminate the deal after the bonus. take the 2m in salary and donate it to a charity of carey's choice.

  6. You're incorrect on the price situation.
They don't have to be cap compliant because he was on LTIR last season. However as of right now they could only use 4 million LTIR of his 10 since that would get them compliant.
The closer they get to cap neutral, the more of the price contract they could use.

  7. Here we go again, Carey price is not getting traded made up news just to keep the offseason going cause there’s nothing happening

  8. To ultimately trade price’s contract now. The question is why wasn’t it done when they traded Web’s? Would it not have provided the same effect as it does today. Price himself said he wasn’t expecting to be able to maintain a playing career. That his knee was toast. Shit the last I’d heard it hadn’t even fully closed. He had an actual hole in his leg. That said. You can’t blame him for not retiring. The contract blame falls on Berg.

  9. 800K in real money for Price after Sept 1st

As for LTIR team can place a player on Long-Term Injured Reserve (LTIR) before the start of the season, and this is a common strategy to exceed the NHL salary cap to sign new players or acquire contracts, as long as the player is legitimately injured and will miss at least 10 games and 24 days. The LTIR relief pool is equal to the player's cap hit once the team is over the cap before the season starts, and this pool can be used to bring in other players.

That’s what the web says but I’m no “expert”

Vegas and Florida are both way over the cap but no one is talking about that

    Vegas has Pietrangelo
    Florida has Tkachuck

Both these players will start season on LTIR

And no one seems to talk about it
