  1. Won't be much of a return for Price's deal, but its the right move for the Sharks as it'll allow GMMG flexibility at the trade deadline.

The fact that there will be multiple teams who can take this drives the price (pun intended?) to a minimal return. A 2029 3rd would be a fair return.

Do wonder if he might come to SJ and help out with Askarov a bit.

  2. Thanks for explaining how that works. I must admit I was thinking it was a terrible idea initially but get it now. Sounds like a good idea.
My only question would be if he can play at all anymore. I mean, does he have any playing value?

  3. Montreal might take the Laroque contract from the Sharks, whose career I presume could be over so another paper contract, along with one serviceable player for their 4th line or AHL team. The Sharks kinda undervalue Giles and I’d be eyeing him if I was Montreal.

This logjam of contracts in San Jose also means they can’t pick up anyone on waivers if there was something unexpected. Maybe Guryev would rather mutually terminate and play in Europe than go back to Wichita. I’d like to see him with the Cuda though. He’s mean as hell.
