If people been paying attention Hughes has been acquiring players related to his former place of business at Quartex.Ok that is the lead up to what I am about to say Hughes deals as a FRIEND and Matheson's family is VERY good friends with Hughes.So imo there is NO chance Matheson gets moved EVER unless he wants to get moved so imo they are NOT moving on with Matheson.
As for Rasmus …literally NO CHANCE I am not buying into ANYTHING that revolves around a team like MTL that is already OVER cap trying to add more cap it makes ZERO sense.So we shoudl leave AL of these rumors until AFTER the season starts and we see where MTL is in the cap space.There is a chance they play the VEGAS lame move of faking LTIR with Dach but you never know I would not be surprised if day 1 Dach goes back on the LTIR.
I have no idea how the NHL monitors money teams financials and back door money but I would not put it past MTL to pay Dach a little something off the books to go on LTIR.
