Wild will win a round this year, that’s it though
Johansson in the top 6 hurts my soul. I like him just not in the top 6.
Once again, it boils down to staying healthy (doubtful) and Gus Bus carrying the load. First round exit…..again.
Sending hope we get over the hump this year. It's going to take a lot though. Really hoping Tarasenko and the 3rd/4th lines can be inspiring this year.
It is possible they get it together, but it just doesn't feel like it. I like Kaprisov, hope he has a great season.

Good, but not good enough. The Central is super competitive and I think they're the odd team out. 6th in the Central with 91-96 points.

As everyone forgets,the Wild had a tremendous first half
Then the injury's hit , after losing Kaprizov and there top 6 players
For parts of the season, they were just an avg team, The Hockey Gods are smiling on Minnesota this year

Shannon you are the best. I love your previews and your honesty, thoroughness and knowledge.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and farts like a duck, then it's a duck. New season, same Wild. Once again, we'll barely make the playoffs, and then get bounced in the first round. Guerin didn't do enough to reinforce the team in the off-season. And if Kaprizov gets injured again, then it's the same problem as last season. We just don't have any discernible goalscorers to rely on night after night when he's out of the line-up. The veterans are fine, decent at best, but the young core just isn't developing fast enough. Boldy, Rossi, Faber, Buium, etc. time to play more reliably consistent, top-tier hockey, or kick rocks. Enough of this never-ending, middling limbo. Either get better or blow it up.
I'm confused how people can feel comfortable with this defense, 2 rookies and veterans who had the third worst PK in the league last season. Don't see them as a playoff team this year, the rest of the central is too good now to allow a team like this to make the playoffs.
People forget, before kiril got injured we were top 3 in the league.
So excited to see what Yurov will do in the NHL, especially if he can eventually work some chemistry on the 3rd line with Tarasenko
