   When it comes to the Canucks, Aquilini is the reason the Canucks are a middling team at best, and why Canucks fans are exhausted and miserable. As long as he owns the team, they will continue to make confusing, and bad hockey moves.

   Maybe if you take every sport except NHL hockey out of the equation… Sure pretty miserable

   Lions and CFL are fun and affordable
   Abby Canucks are great
   Vancouver giants are great
   Soon to be PWHL team is exciting
   Whitecaps are fun and affordable

   Only the NHL provide mediocre expectations for outrageous costs lol.

    Vancouver is a contrived city.
    It has no community or civic spirit because it has fewer actual citizens than it has empty, money laundering adresses.
    And it really looks more like some place in SE Asia than North America….which is not a judgement, just an empirical observation.
    Pro athletes get their marginal motiviation by rabid fan support. Without it, they just mail it in for the paycheque.

    I have been watching the Canucks since I was 10 years old . And in that 55 years , they have been , for the most part awful. Poorly led , poorly coached , poor drafting and development poorly performing. Always at or near the bottom of the league. Or worse spending to the cap ,mortgaging the future by trading away draft choices, all to finish just high enough to miss the playoffs or go out in the first round . There are some exceptions 82, 94, and the bitter disappointment of 2011 . But decades of failure.
    But remember in 2012 they were on their way again with a three line team that could score and had just gone into Boston and beat them . Then at the trade deadline they traded Cody Hodgson , and constructed a two line team that couldn’t score and announced to the world they were going to win all their games 2-1 . They went out to LA in the first round and never got back . Back to the old ways for another 15 years . Mike Gilles was always convinced he was smarter than the rest of the room. He wasn’t.
    Torterella ? The biggest idiot in hockey. Don’t get me started.
    They lost me . The kid in me wants to be a fan . But I just can’t do it anymore. I can’t bring myself to care and that’s the worst part . I will never see them win in my lifetime.
    Miserable is the right word .
