Would it be crazy to say someone like Phil Kessel could be included in this list?
I feel like Mike Lange should be on this list
Chris Kunitz is a really nice addition. Alot of the times with these hall of fames they contain names that I, as a young fan of these Pittsburgh teams, don't know about. Including recent players shows that you don't have to be older than dirt to be remembered.
Excellent J1Q! I watched those players in the 70’s and was a diehard fan back then!
Never been to several episodes where you've talked about how the penguins had such a strong finish to last season and that they'll probably roll that into this year and be good. Two seasons ago they had a strong finish to the season and then they came in last season and stunk up the place.
Straka is my favorite, loved his game!
Couldn't agree more about Randy Carlyle. Those 70's guys not already in had moments but not extended success. Pierre Larouche and the "Battleship: should be considered just because of their influence on that 74-75 team that broke our hearts.
It's not who you leave in. They almost all deserve in. The big problem is who you leave out. Maybe it's better to celebrate the teams year by year. It's a big wall going around the arena.
Straka kept the team afloat during the pre-Crosby years. Great player and got us into the playoffs as well. Very underrated. We also remember the DVE skits about his partying.. But the days of the "X-Generation" need to be remembered. It got us Fluery, Crosby and Malkin but kept the fans engaged.
glad to see the Hall back. Every one of those inductees is deserving. I agree there should be a pre-Mario wing too….too many players from the early days that don't get enough credit
Thank you DK, All deserve to be there, but how much room is there. I would agree though Marty Straka should be in. Great show DK
You don't have to retire a jersey or build a full statue, but you can do the busts of their heads. That doesn't take up much space.
Pascal Dupuis
God I loved Straka. Hope to see him honored one day as well.
