I hope that management gives as big as a chance as possible for the young guys and not try to bulk up on more mid 30s guys
They have to get better this year… right? They have to.
I remember last season someone was talking about how slow the preds were at skating and that was the main reason they were so bad.
I renewed my Preds season tickets this year because I'm pumped to see Trotz trade our young prospects for players in their 30s past their prime – all so we can just miss the playoffs!
Great coaches ≠ Great Executives. Now this team is stuck with aging players with clauses. This could be a tough one. 7th in the Central with 72-77 points.
Preds need to rebuild badly. The core is old, and they lack high-end prospects.
Nashville’s problem is that they have no play drivers. That’s why their special teams look great but even strength is awful. You can argue Forsberg but I wouldn’t call him a play driver per se
Nashville is one of the top destinations city’s in the NHL. It makes no sense that they are so bad. McDacvid would love Nashville and they have the money for him. He should take a long look at Nashville when he leaves Edmonton next year.
i said it before, but this is a make or break season for evangelista. He's getting around the age where we would move on like tomasino, tolvanen, and afanasyev
Have you noticed that teams with a lot of right shot forwards score less than teams with more left handed shots?
Last season everyone thought Nashville would be awesome after adding some older stars and losing some key depth players, forgetting there were two Predators teams the previous season: pre-U2 concert and post-U2 concert. Their only chance now is to get the team tickets to the Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour and then yank them away at the last minute, after Nashville blowing their chance to take away team tickets to an Oasis reunion concert last season.
Preds still have too many good players with NMCs to be able to tank effectively this year. They’re more of the lower end of a mushy middle team. They’d have to set the building on fire to get enough of an exodus, including trading Saros. But the draft lottery is still a lottery.
Hopefully Juuse Saros has a bounce back next season.
Nashville is a dreadful October team. They'll blow that early home advantage.
pull together as play together
