I mean he is a career Dallas Star and at $1,000,000, which is clearly a team friendly deal, it’s a no brainier. He’s at the point in his career where if he wanted more money he could easily get 2-2.5 on the market for a 1 year contract. However, I’d like to see him win it all and retire as a Star. Then raise his name to the rafters after he retires. I don’t think he has that many more seasons in his career, maybe 2-4 max.

Good value but think we should've moved on. Maybe the performance bonuses will make him start on time in the playoffs.
