I felt a bit confident that we’d keep 5 and thought Welch had the edge for LB5 – hope Hopper breaks out to mitigate any risk to that room! Kalen King was a bit of a surprise for me who I thought played himself to a spot but looks like they view him as a slot CB and that seems to be covered with Hobbs/Nixon rotating along with Bullard. Simmons looked too lost out there and by the time it somewhat came together it was too late-agree with him looking like a liability out there (knew his time was done when he was still out there in the 4th vs Sea). And Hardman, I saw him as a a cut candidate (signing back to KC is probably still pending😂). Appreciate you guys! GPG🧀🧀
No real surprise in the 53 but the 4 LB.
Now it's time for real football

We've finally got the GB final 53 & practice squad shortly which will not include Elgersma soon!
No surprises QB 1 & 2 Jordan Love starter with a very competent Malik Willis on the bench.
Same RB 1 Josh Jacobs RB 2 Marshawn Lloyd (IR) RB 3 Chris Brooks RB4 Emanuel Wilson.
No surprises WR Golden~Williams~Doubs~Reed~Wicks~Heath. Micole Hardman released.
Interesting to hear early today Mecole Hardman was signed to the Packers practice squad!
Keeping 4 tights ends a bit of a surprise? TE1 Kraft TE2 Musgrave TE 3 Fitzpatrick TE4 Sims.
9 O lineman the expectation although Donovan Jennings as 1 was not! Jacob Monk injured.
Safety room remained as expected lead by Probowler FS McKinney SS Williams SS/NB Bullard
Kitan Oladapo & Zayne Anderson with Omar Brown who had a strong training camp as injured.
CB room kept 6 probably a wise move with the last 3 guys lacking any NFL playing experience!
Only 4 LBs quite a shock? GB must anticipate Cooper & Walker taking allot of snaps in 2025!
Strong progress Tyron Hopper made in training camp likely weighed in the Packers decision!
GB kept 11 DL with 2 rookies Warren Brinson & Nazir Stackhouse making roster to add depth.
GB keep 5 DE Gary & LVN leading the way with Engabare~Sorrell~Cox Jr. Aaron Moseby cut.
Worried about only 4 LBs on roster but pleased to see 6 players in the weak CB & DT rooms.
I've said it before & I'll say it again there are much cheaper options than Micah Parsons for GB.
Not touch that deal you quoted with a ten foot pool. Too much $ 40M plus a season no tyvm!
Go Pack Go!
What were YOUR overall thoughts from the Roster cuts and PS additions? Any surprises for you? Help us also answer who the heck will be fielding kick off's and punts for the Packers this year! Let's hear your thoughts!👇
Who benefits from the Micah Parsons rumors? I can tell you that it DOESN'T benefit the Packers. IF the rumors are true, I could see the Cowboys using them to increase the compensation, Parsons' agent in putting pressure on the Cowboys into actually paying his client, or other teams as a means of distraction for their own pursuit of Parsons. I would make an analogy of a large cat (Tiger, Lion or Puma) hunting antelope/deer. The closer the cat can get to unsuspecting prey the likeliest of a successful hunt. Right now, the Packers have been exposed in wide open territory. It's probably a failed hunt. Plus, does giving up 2 1st Round picks AND a 2nd Round pick and a 5th sound like Brian Gutenkust? I could see him POSSIBLY giving up 2 1st Rounders, but anything much more than that doesn't pass my sniffer.
As for the 53-man roster with the 17-man practice squad, I think the missing piece is either TE or RB from another team. CB Micah Robinson is probably going to take up one of the final 2 practice squad spots after the Packers signed the LB. I think that the Packers might be looking for someone to unseat Ben Simms as the 4th TE. I don't think that one has signed onto the practice squad yet. I kinda expected Amar Johnson to make the practice squad, but the Packers might have their eye on another option. Also, the DBs that they have on the practice squad right now (Wednesday night) are more safeties, right? I kinda wonder if the right CB falls into their lap that one of the 2 safeties on the practice squad won't get sacrificed to the football gods…
Yeah, I will never criticize Gutey again. Even if Parsons doesn't play a down for the Packers, he made the damn move of all moves to bring a future first ballot HOF'er at 26 years old for the next 5 years. Hopefully we win multiple chips but he did the damn thing. GPG!!!
freaking Parsons what is going on no freaking way
