Which the sabres Can Not match
Good one today but damn I miss the craziness around the Sabres.
A 24 goal differential in 15 games isn’t as bad as you’re making it out to be. Yes, it’s BAD, but the Sabres getting outscored by 1.6 goals a game versus the defending Cup Champ is…..tolerable, when you take into account the place the Sabres are.
Just look at their last 10 meetings. The Panthers outscored them by 12 goals. Again, not horrible when you take where these teams are into consideration.
Power + Greenway + Krebs for McTavish + Helleson. Byrum + Norris (+ Benson?) for Edvinsson + Kane (please don't tell me how old Kane is he still putting up 60 point seasons). Convince Calgary to sit Wolf 🐺, Futures for Weegar, they should tank for McKenna 👍 🏒 4 the Emperor, Lord Kesselring and his majesty his witness.

I’ll never understand the fascination of GSAx. Its core factor is based on OPINION.
Just because a shooter is in his sweet spot, with the goalie out of position, doesn’t mean that there’s no expectation for him to save that. Same goes for a “Fluke” shot right in front of a well positioned goalie.
I mean, based on the metrics used for GSAx, the numbers for the way Hasek was out of position and flopping around making impossible saves, how accurate could that number actually be??
And if you take Hasek and UPL, their numbers will be DRASTICALLY different. Partially because Hasek was “Expected” to stop EVERYTHING because he’s “Hasek”, and with UPL being positioned to make save saves more often, but doesn’t because he’s “UPL”.
Basically the Core of it is “Opinion” based and can’t ACTUALLY be measured, so I can never take GSAx seriously.
