On July 1, 2025 the Vegas Golden Knights agreed to an 8-year, $96 million contract with Mitch Marner, after finalizing a sign-and-trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Many Maple Leafs fans – including myself – were immediately conflicted about this move for a multitude of reasons. For me, I thought it was a big loss for my favourite NHL time. I also thought a lot about how I would handle having so many Mitch Marner (as a Leaf) collectibles.
In this video, I discuss the Marner move to Vegas and how collectors of this incredible hockey player should engage with his Leafs-era collectibles moving forward.
