Wings still in search of a long term goaltender. Way to early to cash in Cossa, especially for a 35 yr old on an expiring contract.
This is a joke lol
Cossa isn't going anywhere. It would be stupid of Yzerman to trade Talbot and Holl, both on expiring contracts, for a 35 year old D-Man on an expiring contract.
Id do Talbot for Ekholm. Not for Cossa or Debrincat tho😊
Talbot would be a better choice over skinner
As an ex goalie, I must say after watching Talbot play for the wings that he is really , really underrated goalie. If it weren't for the worst defense in the league's history in front of him for most of last year, He would have posted a way better saves %. Additionally,, he has literally no backup. Every time he goes in the net, he has to play out of his mind or we lose and he gets shelled. No goalie can withstand that time and time and time again; other than Dominic Hasek. John gibson Demonstrate that, as well. If this guy has a viable backup he could easily be a starter on any team and post really great numbers. It just needs a mental break once in a while. Also if you look at him, the man is in fabulous condition, especially for his age. I don't see any slowdown in this Guys reflaxes at all. I have always been a fan of Talbot and aways thought he was way underrated. I'd say he's probably between a top twenty and top ten goalie in the league. I think that the Red Wings are going to test out all their goalies at camp and eee what they have. Then already.Knows some of them if Cossa or Pestova can be a true NHL backup, at least this year, perhaps they'll consider trading Talbot if they get a really good return. Otherwise, I doubt it highly. Patience !
