#Habs have acquired former 1st round pick (12th overall) Denis Gurianov from the Dallas Stars for Evgenii Dadonov. Habs retain 50% of Dadonov’s contract.
Gurianov was drafted in the incredible 2015 #NHL Draft. He has had a down year but this is a good gamble for the #Canadiens. Before this season, he posted two back-to-back 30+ pts seasons. He also posted a season with 29 pts in 64 games (20 goals).
This is not a home run per say but there is some potential here. The Habs have added a player that could provide some decent secondary scoring. He will have a little more freedom under Martin St-Louis. He is 25 years old and an RFA at the end of the season.
He is a big body at 6’3, Has good speed and has a shoot first mentality.
