Leafs should go after a guy like Owen Tippett to play alongside Matthews. Could be a very interesting piece to this team.

Robertson in my opinion is an under rated player if he can score 15 goals then he can score 25 at least he scored 15 goals with limited icetime and a bunch of different linemates a full season on a perminant line he can score 25 easily give him 30 games with Tavaris and Nylander and I bet he out scores Domi
I kind of like that line up combination but then I heard it with Laughton and I think i would go that way?
I've Robertson gone since he suited up. Time to send him packing to get a different fit.
Robertson would have to score 50 to justify putting him out there.

Agree that we should give Robertson a chance. I'd try him out on the third line. However, that second line of Domi/Tavares/Maccelli gonna get caved in the defensive zone. How about seperating the playmakers? We know Domi and Matthews have some chemistry and Knies with Tavares could be a heavy line along the boards.

1st of all they have been trying to trade Robertson, Jarnkrok and Kamp. They can't. No body wants them. Robertson will end up in the AHL by the end of the year, jarnkrok's contract will run out and he will not be re-signed and Kampf will be put on waivers.
I can't believe we are still talking about this guy. If his ceiling was so high he would have been snapped up. Holmberg was snapped up. What does that tell you. One day he might score. But he isn't what we need now.
Robertson on the 3rd line makes more sense, he can score from anywhere and McMann can't. McMann can't produce unless he is with the top guys picking up the occasional rebound goal.
I’d take a 2028 7th rounder for him.
Robertson can score here and there on a talented team but the traded off is skating, turnovers injuries, poor defensive awareness, and an overall liability. Too good for the AHL not quite good enough for the NHL. I’d upgrade the wing position he’s slotted in. You can be an NHL player just because you have a good shot. Just ask Happy Gilmore

agree with 100% you hit the nail right on the head. this is exactly what ive been saying but you have these clowns like leafs digest who seems to think they know it all, just constantly rail and dislike Robertson who is a professional hockey player and they are not. t boggles the mined hen they constantly talk negative about Robertson which makes him sound undesirable trade… clowns

I'm conflicted when it comes to Robertson in the sense that if the Leafs aren't planning to play him they should trade him to a team where he can play regularly.
On the other hand he has proven he can score a little bit but the Coaches don't like him bc he sits so much & he is still young.
I don't agree with how the coaches are using him.
If you gonna play him then play him for extend time frame.
Both coaches have him in & out of the lineup this isn't gonna produce any spark for a players Confidence if 1 game he's in 1 game or more he's eating popcorn…
The Leafs either need to see what they have with him on the bottom six most games or trade him bc they are wasting this kids youth & he deserves a fair shake of the Leafs refuse to play him.
I just feel like if they do trade him watch he'll score 15 or more goals a season for another team.
The Leafs always end up trading away good young talent & then we see them shine somewhere else.
For whatever reason Keefe & Berube don't want to give him lengthy ice time or let this kid develop any chemistry with another 2 bottom six limesmates.

I totally agree with you on Robertson. The Leafs have under-utilised him. If you look at productivity per ice time minute, he beats Jarnkrok, Kampf, McMann (last season). Hell, even Domi for most of the regular season, last season. By that measure, how can anyone talk about trading Robertson and not talk about trading those other guys first. I agree that he is a sniper who needs to be on a line of heavier bodies who can playmake for him and unleash that awesome quick draw shot that he has. We need to give him more ice time, help him get into the lane and let him pull the trigger on the puck.
The guy is not a fit, he's had his chances, blew them all, why is he still in Toronto? His overall game is lawsy, and most of his goals are meaningless. Down 6-0 to Florida, then he gets a goal, wow.. big effin deal. Trade him for an 8th round pick in 2039

McMann has to get in front of the net and be a bruiser, get the tips for goals. otherwise his size is being wasted because he lost his physical presence and play after game 65 last year, and yes, was USELESS in the playoffs.

Nick is much more exciting to watch than his brother. He is always the first guy in on the forecheck which explains his hits
They all come from there and he is never still timing the entry at full speed.
He and Domi should be trading that spot on the first line
They seem to play better after being demoted both and given another chance.
Domi sees the ice better and Nick finds the holes and has a better shot.
Willie doesn't fit because he is always carrying the play and it suits JT just fine.
Be nice to see Easton get some time with them this year
Nick doesn't have to play defense when he plays with two of the best two way players
Nick would score way more goals than Marner

I don't want them to trade Robertson either Andude. I still believe he's an unpolished future semi star. It's too bad there hasn't been an opening in the top six consistently. I believe a player like Nick thrives and does his best in the top six.
If they can't give him a spot where he can and will shine, they're only hurting his development and putting his future in jeopardy. Either use him or send him somewhere where he'll thrive. I just can't understand what I've seen in the baby Leafs where they let players such as Steeves and others with real potential to make the leap and make a mark just walk for nothing!
Why would any decent prospect want to put in the effort to show the coaches in both leagues he has what it takes and is willing to work hard and prove it when the NHL club isn't in he least bit interested?
Andrew, I believe you're 100% correct, I also believe Robertson can pocked 30 PLUS!!
He needs to put on a lot of weight, not too much so it affects his speed, but enough to where he won't bounce off players like "Bumbles" (Rudolf The Red nosed Alcoholic reindeer)!
