  1. It's funny. Fans of this team wont can't or don't see that imho the Canucks are the biggest, longest joke of a franchise in the NHL. Run by ididots, players that are regarded as superstars undeservedly, management willing to protect and defend criminals.. I feel sorry for y'all in Vancouver.

  2. So he walks… and the Canucks take the 9 mill to sign a free agent… how is that different than making a trade today? Not a big deal

  3. I'm not happy about today at all but what else was he going to say? I mean saying, "No we can't let him walk" sounds like a pretty bad way to negotiate to me….

  4. Here we go again. We still have an 11 million dollar wheelbarrow. We still have problems within this team that should soon have it's members on available golf courses. I have found the answer. I am now a Winnipeg Jets fan. I don't know why it took so long.

  5. This is why I don't play into the hype at trade deadline I wait until the end of the day to check what happens…I have Zero expectations being a Nucks fan.

  6. If we let boeser walk I will actually cry. He is my favorite player besides Quinn and before we traded J.T.

  7. Hey Lego, can you do a deep dive on the upcoming free agent market this summer please. Would be nice to see what Alvin may have in mind for the summer.

  8. I’m openly saying that this management group isn’t much better than past management groups. Look at this mess.

  9. thanks for episode. can you do an episode talking about the players we let walk for nothing? i know of the sedins and hamhuis?

  10. So he walks, whoopie. Its not like Boeser in Vancouver was doing anything positive. I mean, was he a positive role model for other players? Suddenly, that 11.6 contract is looking really exciting, isn't it??

  11. I mean what do you want him to do? I’m not entirely ready to write off this year. It’s been bad but they’re still in the running for the playoffs and who knows. You can’t win unless you’re in. Keeping Brock like a loaner player is better in my eyes than shipping him off for a second rounder( for example)

  12. Let the guy do his job . Every one is a critic in Vancouver. All the negative Nancy’s of the world make up the media there . Can anyone in Vancouver actually watch a game win or lose and just enjoy the hockey? With out taking it personally?

  14. Yes Lego, there was probably no team offering even a 1st with retention because Boeser hasn't been scoring much this yesr and the only teams interested PROBABLY NEED SCORING heading into the playoffs.

  15. Meanwhile…just south of Vancouver…Geno Smith refused to sign for under 45mm so the Seahawks (a well run organization) shipped him in less than 24 hours for a 3rd round pick.

  16. Probably something like:

"10 minutes to go, last chance. Our 2nd for Boeser."

    "1st or nothing."

"You got no time. You will just end up losing Boeser at Free Agency."

"And you got no time left to win the Cup."

    "…..see ya." 🤣

  17. Even though this management group does a decent job when it comes to player management, definetely better than Benning, I feel like whole Canucks fanbase forgot what happenend with Boudreau. That was moment for me when I thought that there is something wrong with management thinking

  18. Boeser is going to resign. He loves Van and has a life and friends here. They will go to 6x$8. Personally I’d go to 7x$7 as long as the contract is structured in a way that makes the last 3 years tradable.

  19. I really disagree with a lot of these takes that people have. Stankoven?? You think Alvin wouldn't have pulled the trigger on a trade for Stankoven 🤣, of course he would have. He was probably offered a lot of bottom six players, that would have just made our team worse for the short-term and not any better in the long-term. It's a question of is it worth missing the playoffs, this year for a draft pick later? Probably not. Boeser hasn't been very good, but he is still one of top goal scorers. He's also been on the trading block for most of the year, so at least that distraction is gone.

  20. So Alvin's calculus is: I can get less for Boeser or get nothing…hmm…ok, I will take nothing! So I guess there's no swedish saying that equates to "cutting of one's nose to spite your face"
