Im sorry, most of these comments just hate matthews. As a leafs fan i will say matthews over hughes, he has proven to be an amazing two way that is a great threat on the ice. Hughes is young and could have the potential to be better. But currently matthews had one bad season, he is still lethal.

Matthews is better than Hughes and if you disagree your just stupid. Your number one line is "what has matthews done in the playoffs?" well what has hughes done in the playoffs? A healthy jack hughes is better than an injured matthews but if both healthy it's not even a comparison Matthews is miles ahead and that's no disrespect to hughes.
Sometimes I don’t understand the NHL media opinions. On one hand they will glaze leafs players too much and I want them to get their head out of the gutter, but then they’ll have these random takes that don’t make any more sense
