The Leafs need a puck moving defenseman.
No one wants EK. Even 1/4 his full salary it's hardly worth it. Guy is atrocious defensively.
I’ve made this comment a few times over the months. Should Riley waive then Leafs need to look into EK65.
I had suggested Kampf plus Reilly no retention but Robertson can be swapped in if retention is an option (or Reilly, Robertson + kampf – no retention)

Leafs for some reason give out too many No Move in contracts which puts them in a bind. There is a need for a puck moving defenceman to help the powerplay.

No way Dubas goes for this deal. Morgan has too many years left on his contract, is far less of a player than Karlsson, and by the time the monies are done the Pens haven't shed anything. So, is Robertson worth all that, absolutely not. Throw in a 2nd rounder also and now we're talking…..maybe.

The Leafs burned Morgan Rielly out. I would do that deal in a heartbeat even if Pittsburgh didn't retain salary. But like JR said this trade is a pipedream.
I think OEL Robertson and hildeby for a package of karlsson and a prospect and we might have to add a pick to get this done especially cuz we would need some retention but that solidifies the leafs d core to go on a cup run
Why would the Leafs want to get a 35 year old with an extensive history of lower body injuries, thats attached to a massive contract?
Leafs need to get rid of Reilly big time not worth the money he's not worth what he's getting
