Took a short off season break. Back now
Welcome back and fuck the Panthers
I’ve been a fan of the Panthers since the 2012-2013 lock out season, during the basement years of the team. Besides the 96 miracle run to the cup, the team was ran by incompetent executives who didn’t know how to run a hockey team. When the team played at the Miami Arena from 93’-97 the arena was packed every night. And since the move to Sunrise since 1998-2021, the team was nothing more than a punching bag. It was a retirement home for old washed up journeymen to retire, and we couldn’t develop young players to save our lives.
I feel like the hate is unwarranted, since the fans who watched and showed up to games felt sick and tired of watching the same mediocre hockey for years and years.
Zito and Maurice saved this franchise, and looking at our recent success has been surreal after all the mishaps and bad management decisions.
Banger video!!!!
I love the panthers because i'm a canucks fan and I hate Edmonton, and also Luongo was on the Cats
The hate- or dislike is most unwarranted. Same people seemingly so easy forget- or neglect to check the history of all the basement years of the Panthers.
Besides a very few "highlights" incl. the Expansion draft 1st selection, the solid life-saver John Vanbiesbruck, the 1996 miracle Stanley Cup run, some highlights moment with Pavel Bure- and Roberto Luongo etc – the team was never seen as something serious in the hockey world.
The franchise was ran by literarry incompetent executive people who didn’t know how to run a hockey team (!) Remember, when the team played at the Miami Arena from 1993- to-1997,
the arena was seemingly packed every night. Despite mediocre performances, the fans still came. However after the move to Sunrise since in 1998-to-2021, the team was more- or less a punching bag in the NHL. It was seen as a "retirement home" for old washed up veterans or journeymen to retire, and the development sector for in-house tallent was nothing but a big joke.
"The Miami Heat was better in the NBA at the time hu-hu", yeah so was the NFL Miami Dolphins ince as well. That is irrelevant arguments….
So from 2021 with some REAL brains behind the rodder, the Panthers turn the tides and steadily grows better as franchise and so the performances. Real scouting, real ream building, better signing of tallents and of course, the draftings. Panthers played all cards right and so here we are today with there rewards.
BTW, I'm no Panthers fan. I do however appreciate there well-developed team and gameplay that seemingly can take on any team and win- and keep it going.
3 finals straight, with back-to-back Cups is no fluke. That is close to dynasty theritory!
Peace.
For years we were made fun of and mocked for being in south Florida. An now that we beating on everyone favorite teams they hate us. It feels good to be at the top😎
We ain’t the hated team in the NHL. That post is fake news
I think People are just jealous that Florida Panthers finally found success and was able to win back to back cups
The panthers don’t play in Miami big dog
Canada loves the panthers
They’re hated by loser fan bases who hate when teams play real hockey against them
I wonder why…
WHY?!??! they are back to back champs, AND over McDavid no less both times. No big deal, this would happen to any team. Now…only thing the Panthers did wrong was build their stadium way up north away from the city next to a swamp. But other than that good for them. And LOL at anyone who gets mad at bandwagon fans. Want to know whats "worse?" Winning and no one showing up. Just ask MLS about that.
They are not In MIAMI. They started there, but they're in a different county now and for a while.
If you hate a hockey team that doesn't know you exist, you need some help.
Those that hate them are those whose teams have lost to them .
Because they can't beat them, really just that.
All of it stems from Sam Bennett breaking the rules with his constant dirty hits, Colin Campbell and the Department of Player Safety constantly bailing him out, and the refs refusing the issue game misconducts for Sam Bennett’s past and current injury players.
The Oilers are dirty more than the Panthers are
Florida has good management ownership and players in Miami
Canadians can blame Canadians especially in Quebec City for the loss of the nordiques
You hand someone championships they take it. You offer them money they don't deserve, they take it. Simple.
Does the panthers’ current fanbase only exist because they started winning? Yes. Of course it does. But I really don’t see anything wrong with that. You don’t like it? Build a better team.
I disagree with the authors conclusion.
The most hated team in the NHL is Edmonton
Due to being extremely overhyped and over exposed while losing 2 Stanley Cups to the same team.
Nobody likes a poser/ impostor team.
This time this series wasn’t even close.
Florida lead for 230 minutes versus Edmonton’s 36 min.
They’re like WWE villains haha next season I expect Sam Bennet to bring lawn chairs out and hit goalies and Dmen haha
Not everyone hates the Panthers. 😂 This is false advertising and should be illegal 😂. Go Cats!!!
