  1. I think I'd rather have the cap space to go after a younger version of Bread if he's not going to take a pay cut.

  2. They e known that his contract was coming up
    Leading scorerer every year
    Broke Jagrs points team record
They put themselves in this position

  3. If he wont take a cut of some type I would move on. They could get some type of scorer for less that maybe can score in playoffs

  4. Get rid of him like you did with everybody else. He's already proven like the ones you let go before him, you cant win with him unless your playing for the regular season only. Under Moped Mike Sullivan you're going to see Panarin have his worst season as a Ranger

  5. They will end up resigning him at some point for a little less. He was a point per game player his last playoffs so he did improve just like he did in that regular season getting over 100 points. He will lose some speed over the next 4 years but he will still have that great shot and amazing passing ability. He doesn't have the size but he knows how to protect the puck with his body and create some space so he will still be productive. He is fifth in the league in scoring. If you can get someone better or close and younger I would do it, if not you can't lose him either. He wants to play for the Rangers. It is not easy to win the Stanley Cup. You need all the pieces. Connor McDavid himself hasn't won the cup for Edmonton, they need a more consistent, better goaltender. Panarin did help quickly turn their rebuild into being a contender. The Rangers need to give the effort that is needed to win the Cup in the playoffs as well as a good defensive plan, defending the front of your net. They need a good forecheck starting at least in the neutral zone if not in the other teams end. No team should just let the other team just skate up the ice and into your zone and then try to defend their. The power play needs to be good as well. This coaching staff should help with that. I think they need to get a better third line center at the trade deadline to have a better chance in the playoffs this year and for next year. With the salary cap continuing to go up I am ok with paying Panarin 10.5 for 4 years. Other players are making more and everyone's salary is going up. His production has earned him the right to demand decent compensation. He has a decent year last year in a down year for the whole team. The team kinda gave up but Panarin was only 11 points below a 100 and he did give effort and didn't give up and tried at the end to help the team try to make the playoffs.

  6. Pay him. Your talking like a skinflint. He still produces. He gets mauled in the playoffs because nobody is an enforcer. And nobody picks up the slack. Theeeers gotta be 2 threats on the ice at a time. Give him 10 for 2 years.

  7. I have said it before and I will keep saying it. Trade Igor to Edmonton for McDavid. Then bring up Dylan Garand to be the number one goalie. Imagine McDavid on Broadway. This also solves the goaltender problem for the Oilers.
