  1. Marco’s face when he doesn’t super agree with Shaun is so great lol. The Habs brass doesn’t seem to be too big-brainy about stuff, and I just don’t think anyone is imagining Slafkovsky with anyone but where he already plays.

  2. The goal should not be to figure out who bumps who off the top line

The goal should be to build a new top line and have a 1A 1B top 6 lines

Where in a few years 13-14-20 becomes your second line, when or if that happens then you know you have a dynasty

Love your content Shaun and love Marco's work

Hope Demidov has a great szn and helps elevate Habs offensive acumen

Keep up the good work Shaun !!

  4. Yup. Honestly, and I mean it. Try Bolduc at centre in preseason. Second line also. Curious. Laine – Bolduc – Demidov. Looks interesting. I think it’s worth a look.

  5. What about splitting the top line between two lines?
    Laine-Suzuki-Slaf
    Caufield-“Center”-Demidov
Gritty puck hunting Center is needed.

  6. Thanks for the daily content. Should be a fascinating season. Kindof too bad the Atlantic is so stacked.

Wouldn’t it be lovely to finish over the leaves !🍃

  7. You just need a c that can keep up and win draws. Then Ivan takes over a push all the play. I think he can make a 3 c play like a 2

  8. Top answer by marco about our first i dont touch our first, find ways to strenghten our 2nd, ivan imo stays on 2nd

  9. Plus slaf imo ob 2nd, yes our first is stronger but it weakens our 2nd so much, where's the balance and a 1 2 punch

  10. I fully understand why Dach has been written off. I don't think he has earned the respect to be considered a full time 2C. HOWEVER, I do think if you look at Dach's skills, if you look at what's worked and what hasn't for him in the past, etc. I think he does have a very good chance to surprise some people this year. Demidov on the wing covers MANY of Dach's weaknesses and is good enough to drive play for that line. He'll have one of the best finishers in the league in Laine and I think Dach in the bumper, net front, battling on the boards will be a better role for him than trying to drive play like he had to with Newy and Laine. Of course he's coming off injury, and he hasn't shown that he can do that yet, but last year he played most of the year with a not 100% Laine and a down year from Newhook, he wasn't really in a position to succeed last year. I think having Dobson or Hutson on the ice for most of his minutes for break out passes and helping create in the O-zone, with a healthy Laine, with a more dynamic winger who protects the puck better and creates more in Demidov, Dach is much better setup for success and I think assuming his rehab goes well, he's in a much better position to succeed this season.
