He is a 3 or 4 on an elite team… we HAVE to stop over-valuing our players. We have ONE blue chipper. And thats Michkov.
Sanhiem IS their best defender. They need to admit that drafting York to be their #1 was a mistake. And he pulls Sanhiem down.
Instead of retiring players numbers, put a banner up and add any names on it who were worthy of being on the banner who had that number.
Sanheim is what he is: unrealized potential. He showed flashes of being an offensive catalyst but that’s all. He was paid to be a top pair defenseman, but he’s not. He doesn’t run either PP unit and he’s a defensive liability who doesn’t use his size around the net. He should have a booming slapper at his size and doesn’t. You can get 30 point a year dmen anywhere and not have to pay them over $6 million.
Not to change the subject but what do you guys think about possibly signing Jack Roslovic? The longer he sits out there the cheaper he may be.
Sanheim blows , so overrated. Play wing if you want to be caught up ice all the time, and you get pushed all over the place , TK always cones to defend you
