Absolute class act, Tim Elliott is and I've always felt that vibe from him and always rooted for him aside from his absolute grittiness and well-rounded fighting game as awkward as it could be at times
I hope Pico returns 100% as I was looking forward to watching how he’d match up against the top UFC FW’s. It was a bad KO & can change a fighters career trajectory.
Thing is, I’m not putting down Pico as an elite athlete, but the hype coming into this was insane, some ‘experts’ through he’d steam roll Murphy in the 1st round ….well they were right about the 1st round !
Murphy showed how much of an intelligent fighter he is, even though he took the opportunity at short notice, he’d done his homework & did say pre fight that Pico was very aggressive & he make him pay for that & he sure did.
One of the most brutal knockouts in recent years – potentially career-altering. Pico ran straight into the punch, which made the impact even worse. I genuinely wish him all the best and hope he manages a full recovery but he was concussed BADLY.
