  1. Sign Miller #9. If you don’t then you care not about winning. Keep the team as is. Get a d man if you can. Trade Myers for Wings Bertuzzi.

  2. If these 2 think that Canucks can remain competitive without JTM then they are honestly in the wrong profession.

  3. I say hang onto JT and let Bo Horvat go. Hot take. They’re going to be worth the same money “ish” and I think JT’s ceiling is higher.

  4. Honestly, just give the coyotes myers and dickenson for the bare minimum to get cap space. They love taking garbage off of other teams and playing at the cap floor so I know they have room

  5. If the Canucks are thinking of contending, then they CAN'T get rid of Miller cuz he's a top-line centre. If the Canucks are thinking rebuild, then trade Miller for a boatload of assets. You can't do both…

  6. Canadian teams won't win a cup as long they don't get some good Canadian players on the roster, American teams winning cups have really good Canadian players on the roster

  7. This core is good enough, if you look at the 2nd half of the season they could of made the playoffs

  8. My kind of dream or fantasy is that Nux trade Miller with 50% salary retain to Devils for 2nd, and whatever more they get and select Jiřiček or Nemec

  9. Gonna be hard to replace JT. He is the reason the team picked itself off the mat after the poor start to last season. You don't want to hamstring the team by retaining some of his salary either.

  10. After replacing Green, the team played like a Top 10 team from December to the end of the season so how can he say that the core isn't good enough?

  11. Did dan riccio watch any games after Bruce took over? The team looked very capable of doing great things, just have to shuffle in some young talent in the bottom 6 and defence and the canucks should be a viable team coming this next season. I don’t think you openly look to trade off miller for picks only if another team brings the right deal for our team. Great things to come either way our new MGT team deals with things.

  12. The problem isn't "the core" – however that's envisioned. The Canucks weaknesses are in the bottom six and on defence. But improving that in one move is impossible. A core piece is going to go, but if they can us the move to improve depth and a pick or prospect, that might be enough for now. They don't necessarily need a star in return.

  13. I'd keep trying to build a core of soft European players that don't like corners. Perhaps broker a trade with the Leafs for Nylander. Make sure to sign any Europeans to long term deals……and DO NOT build a core of the best Canadians available.

  14. Whoever gets Johnny Hokey is a playoff team. He's franchise player. Offers could possibly be Marner type money 10.9 to 11.5 million per season….)
