The San Diego Gulls fell short in a hard-fought battle against the Henderson Silver Knights, dropping a 4-2 decision on the road. Henderson struck first with a power-play goal from Matyas Sapovaliv in the opening period, but the Gulls responded early in the second as Carsen Twarynski netted a power-play goal to even the score. The Silver Knights quickly regained the lead with a goal from Robert Hägg before Yegor Sidorov answered back for San Diego, tying the game at two midway through the period. However, Henderson took control in the third, as Hägg scored his second goal of the night on the power play, followed by a late insurance goal from Jakub Demek. Despite a strong effort in net from Oscar Dansk, who turned aside 23 shots, the Gulls were outshot 27-14 and struggled to generate offensive momentum. Special teams played a significant role, with Henderson capitalizing on three of their six power plays, while San Diego went 1-for-7 with the man advantage. The Gulls will look to bounce back.
