What a cool show! I've always been interested in goalie masks since way back in the day and it's very interesting to hear one of the artists talk about his craft. He's definitely done a lot of great work and I'm interested to see what Vladars mask looks like. Thank you Jason! Great show and God bless! 👍
My dad was a goalie for the Marlies so goaltending was always a HUGE part of my childhood. He always wore 50 like Tretiak – my dad was 4th gen born and raised Canadian. 😂
His favourite mask was the debut Toronto Cujo mask. Cujo hands down had one of the top 5 masks of all time.
I also absolutely love all of Cam Talbot’s masks. His NYR masks were next level. Gerry Cheevers stitch mask, Jacques Plante’s OG mask, and Michael Leighton’s zombie mask are all my favs over time.

Someone’s gotta have a gritty mask. I mean the dang mask profile is perfect, with the cage being the mouth and have his big goofy eyes on the head.
