  1. Long time coming! Congrats Sergei! Would love to have one more number retirement this upcoming season. It only sounds fitting that we hit double digits with the amount of jerseys we have retired in our centennial season.

  2. The final game of Pavel Datsyuk's "The Magic Game" will take place on August 30 in Yekaterinburg.
On the ice from the Red Wings will be – Datsyuk, Fedorov, Fetisov.
And also many NHL stars of the past and present – Ovechkin, Kaprizov, Shesterkin, Morozov, Kovalev, Khabibulin, Kovalchuk, Semin, Kamensky and others.
I was lucky to buy a ticket for this game. 12 thousand tickets were sold in 5 minutes after the start of sales.

  3. Absolute heater machine – saw him 20 times + . His skating was so slick – he flew. Fuse Gretzky and Kovalev—— Fedorov

  4. dont forget, he got with anna kournikova when she was 16. I thought we were all up in arms about the Epstein Files?

  5. LONG OVERDUE ! WELL DESERVED !

Without out a doubt one of the greatest Red Wings to ever play for the organization and from 1991-2003, one of the top 5 players in the NHL.

  6. Ovechkin may have scored more goals, but Sergei was the greatest Russian hockey player to ever play in the NHL as far as a complete player.

  7. It's about time ! Yzerman getting the band back together , bringing back a little nostalgia.. 91 to the rafters, next 13 and 40 !

  8. I'm so happy to see that Sergei Federov number being retired and jersey going into the rafters. To me, Sergei Federov paved the way for other Russian players coming to the NHL. Can't wait for Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Brendan Shanahan numbers and jerseys to be retired and put in the rafters soon.
