Caleb Jones Ready to Battle for Penguins Roster Spot | 2025-26 NHL Season

New Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Caleb Jones sits down to discuss his fresh start in Pittsburgh, his 45-minute call with head coach Dan Muse, and why he believes this is his best shot at becoming an every-night NHL player.

After signing a two-year, $1.8 million deal in July, the 28-year-old blueliner explains how the Penguins’ open competition on the left side gives him the opportunity he’s been chasing since his career-best 73-game, 16-point season with the Blackhawks in 2022-23.

Jones also reflects on skating alongside brother Seth in Chicago, bouncing between the Kings and AHL’s Ontario Reign last year, and the confidence he’s bringing to training camp in September.

Expect daily updates, camp battles, and behind-the-scenes looks as Jones fights for a spot against Ryan Graves, Owen Pickering, and the rest of the Penguins’ blue-line depth chart.
