Good morning from upstate NY 🎉
Totally agree that Noah Laba should be on the list ahead of Ferrance. In fact, I'd have Laba in the top 5. I would rate Fortescue ahead of Emery at this point in time. Although I like Sykora, I think Roobroeck has jumped ahead of him in the rankings. My list: 1)Perreault 2) Morrow 3) Othmann
4) Berard 5)Laba 6) Spence 7) Fortescue 8) Emery 9) Roobroeck 10) Garand.
What happened to Bryce McConnell-Barker? I was hoping he’d pan out.
Laba and Roobroeck should definitely be on this list. Laba being a possible 2C is great and his ceiling, but I think his floor is as a really good 3C. His 2-way game is excellent, and I've been a big fan since he was drafted. Re: Roobroeck, any kid that big who comes in out of Junior and scores 20 goals in the AHL as a rookie has to be considered in the mix. Some fans might bemoan the fact we don't have a lot of potential "stars" in this prospect group (aside from Perrault), but this is the type of prospect pipeline which will allow us to not overpay for bottom 6 forwards or bottom 4 d'men for years to come.
