Alex Limoges, a 27-year-old forward and Calder Cup champion with the Hershey Bears, has signed a one-year contract with the KHL’s Dinamo Minsk. Limoges became an unrestricted free agent this summer and was looking for more opportunities to play in the NHL. However, with the Bears expected to be a younger team next season, Limoges decided to take his talents to the KHL.
In this video, we’ll discuss Limoges’ decision to leave the AHL and sign with Dinamo Minsk. We’ll also take a look at what this means for his career and his chances of playing in the NHL in the future.
Limoges played in 115 games for the Bears, recording 95 points (41g, 54a). He didn’t receive a recall from the Capitals during his two years in the team’s organization, but he’s hoping that playing in the KHL will give him the experience and exposure he needs to take his career to the next level.
