The thing I don't like with this is that he starts like he's going to make a hip check and then makes more of a body check. Hip checking is the most beautiful art in hockey, and failing to take advantage of an opportunity to turn the opponent into an unwilling gymnast is of course blasphemy, which clearly has to result in a life ban.
